Vintage 1952 Park & Shop Board Game

The game was first introduced in 1952 by Traffic Games Inc., a small firm in Allentown owned by Campe Euwer (an artist with the local Allentown paper The Morning Call) He was approached by the Chamber of Commerce of Allentown and the Municipal Parking Authority to commission a public awareness campaign for the new “Park & Shop” concept. The object of the game was to drive from “home” to a parking lot, then complete several “shopping” actions and return home. Adopted by Milton Bradley in 1953, this game is not dated but marked patent pending and is the first and pre-MB version of the board game. This listing includes all the parts shown with foxing of the board and box as well as paint loss on the painted metal pieces. The one instruction page has wear and tear.
